2005. Carlton Working Men's Club in Main Street began life as a wooden hut. The present clubhouse was built in two stages but over a period of time it became in need of restoration. This was facilitated by a loan from the Federation Brewery and the club was refurbished. It offers a full programme of games, events and entertainment.

Some of the early funding for restoration was by Federation Brewery but the mjority of funding money was raised by the members. The last mjor refurbishment was the addition of new toilets in the concert room and na new disabled toilet.
