Description:
27th March 1991. Colour photograph looking east along York Road, taken from the lay-by outside the shops at no. 530 - 534. The junction with Rookwood Avenue is on the right, followed by the Little Chef restaurant and petrol filling station, and behind these blocks of high-rise flats. More housing can be seen on the left. The road is busy with traffic.

THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN AT THE JUNSHION OF SELBY ROAD GOING OF TO THE RIGHT THER WAS A BARBERS SHOP JUST TO THE RIGHT JUST OUT OF SIGHT. THE LEEDS TO YORK RAILWAY IS JUST TO THE RIGHT OF HIGH RISE FLAST. THE ROAD TO THE LEFT OF THE FLATS IS THE A64 YORK ROAD GOING UP TO SEACROFT HOSPITAL ON THE RIGHT YES THE FILLING STATION AS GONE BUT ME AND ALL MY FRENDS AGE ARROUND SEVEN TO NINE WALKED FROM WYKEBECK MOUNT 138 TO SE THE FIRST AUTO CAR WASH IN LEEDS YOU COULD STAND NEXT TO THE CLASS WALLS WHNE IN USE HO THE FRILL OF IT ALL...WEN WE AD NOW
