At number 18 it's a funeral parlour now, and where Charlie's Discount Furniture was has been taken over by Coral, bookmakers, also Limb brothers are no longer there, the shop was sold around 2006, it is now split into two shops, one is Dash's Toiletries, where they moved from number 15, and the other one is an estate agency, where Dash's used to be at number 15, is now an Indian takeaway, PFC.

1970's - Always went in to the toy shop (in the corner) which was painted black inside. This was next to a mini supermarket, name began with 'H' I think. Was a Capels bakers (Bargains Galore in the picture), hairdressers through the same door!, fruit & veg, fishmongers?. There were at least 3 chemists on the whole parade in the 70's. There were 2 launderettes, Yorkshire bank, Winestores and Sylvia's petshop next to the petrol station, which was next to an hairdressers. Are the toilets still there on the island in the middle.
