Description:
2005. View of the Rose and Crown Public House situated at number 253 Leeds Road at the end of Carlton Lane. Carlton Lane was formerly the road to Leeds before the construction of the Leeds to Wakefield Turnpike Road which opened in 1753. Signs are displayed on the gable end offering traditional food and advertising the Harlequin's Restaurant.

I live quite near to the pub and enjoyed a good meal and drink there. Just recently the pub has been converted into a mini mart come cafe/take away food place.

One time HQ of Old Rodillians R.U.F.C. with bleak changing rooms at the back.Scene of many lively Saturday evenings in winter after the match.
