The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Eric Atkinson MBE, and the Lady Mayoress, Mrs Atkinson chat to one of the team from Lewis's department store in the Headrow who have submitted an entry of a decorated float in the 7th Annual Lord Mayor's Parade. It can be partially seen, right, and depicted an American Western style steam engine cleverly constructed and decorated using 20,000 ribbon bows. The float and participants had assembled on Woodhouse Moor prior to the procession.
