Ackroyd Street, Salvation Army Hall, Laying of Memorial Stone
1907. Councillor J. T. Horsfall laying a memorial stone at the Salvation Army's new citadel at the corner of Ackroyd Street and Marshall Street. It looks as if there are other memorial stones to lay. The notice board at the entrance to the site states that the main contractor of the new Halls is Isaac Newton of Ackroyd Street. Photograph from the David Atkinson Archive.
