View of the Weir on the River Wharfe at Thorp Arch with Thorp Arch Manor Mill in the background. A mill has existed here for many centuries and for a variety of uses; the milling of corn, fulling, and the production of oil and paper. The Weir was the site of a salmon fishery or 'hecks' also.
