Description:
c1902. Morley Friends' Adult School and children from around Charles Street at about the time of the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902. The memorial stone is just below the level of the iron railings at the right hand side. The members of the Adult School also collected rent from two wooden lock-up shops that can be seen on the left of the picture. That next to the Adult School was a barber's shop and it lasted much longer than the building next door. Photograph from the David Atkinson Archive.
