Thorp Arch Manor Mill on the River Wharfe. A mill is recorded on the site in the Doomsday Survey. Another early record in 1301 mentions a fulling mill and two corn mills , plus a salmon fishery or 'hecks'. After centuries as a working mill in various industries the grade II listed buildings were eventually converted C1990 to residential apartments.
