Comment:
The property belonged to Leeds Polytecnic in 1985, my husband was an academic and we were privileged to live there for a period of time. The gates on the picture were for the property next door, the main entrance was from lower down the hill giving access were the tower/turret is, to the large entrance hall, all panelled in wood with sweeping stair case. Our thoughts, with the grandeur of the high ceilings was that possibly it's original occupants would have been an affluent mill owner.
