I think this could be The New Rover Cricket Ground which is situated just off the Ring Road at Moortown, if my memory serves me right this ground came into being in the mid 1980's.

No Peter, this the Leeds University Cricket Ground half a mile further up the Ring Road on the opposite side to the New rover ground.
