View from Main Street, showing the Bay horse Inn, left, which still exists today but appears to have been rebuilt. Immediately adjacent is the Greyhound Inn, run by Emma Mary Wrightson, a licensed retailer of ale,porter and tobacco. She may be the lady in the late Victorian dress standing in the doorway. The site of the Bay Horse Inn now fully extends to this corner where the Greyhound Inn once stood.
