Undated. Old photograph showing a group of workers posing by the railway with their shovels. It is thought to have been taken at Ardsley Railway Station, located on the Great Northern Railway between Tingley and Lofthouse and Outwood. This station opened in 1857 to serve the inhabitants of East Ardsley. It closed in 1964 as a result of the Beeching report published in 1963. Photograph from the David Atkinson Archive.
