1960s. Image shows Mr Harry Blakey standing on his doorstep at number 73 Westerton Road. The picture was captured on the day of his retirement. He was a miner in his working life and a Methodist local preacher. This part of Westerton road was also known locally as Frost Row. Photograph from the David Atkinson Archive.
