View of one of a series of carvings of literary figures which adorn the walls of the Tiled Hall in the Central Library, this one depicting Sir Walter Scott. The magnificent tilework around demonstrates the splendour of the hall which was in the process of restoration before being reopened to the public in june 2007 as a shop and cafe.
