Interior view of Allerton Bywater Branch Library, showing the children's section to the left. Based in the old Allerton Bywater Infants School on Vicars Terrace, this £750,000 library was opened in April 2004 as part of the £60m Millennium Village Project which aims to regenerate the former pit village. The library has previously occupied premises on Leeds Road.
