20th November 2007. Interior view of Allerton Bywater Branch Library, situated in the former Allerton Bywater Infants School building on Vicars Terrace. The library was opened in April 2004 by Elmet MP Colin Burgon as part of the £60m Millennium Village Project to transform the old mining community into a 21st century eco-friendly village.

very different to Miss Dickinsons Infant school whre I went,but may I say its a wonderful ,well deserved gift for you to enjoy.Is the standard three to seven still standing?. Iam now 87yrs old living in the Philippines and remember working in the Silkstone and Flockton seams at Allerton mine
