Vicars Terrace, Allerton Bywater Library and Community Centre
20th November 2007. View of Allerton Bywater Branch Library on Vicars Terrace. This building was opened in 2004, having been converted from the old Allerton Bywater Infants School, and houses a community centre, including childcare and training facilities, and a cafe as well as the library. It has become the focal point of the village and is part of the £60m Millennium Village Project which will transform the place into an eco-village with new environmentally friendly houses and industries.
