View of Allerton Bywater Branch Library on Vicars Terrace. This building was opened in 2004, having been converted from the old Allerton Bywater Infants School, and houses a community centre, including childcare and training facilities, and a cafe as well as the library. It has become the focal point of the village and is part of the £60m Millennium Village Project which will transform the place into an eco-village with new environmentally friendly houses and industries.
