c1938 View of the north side of York Road showing nos.143-151. Just visible on the left hand side is the Victoria Hotel at no.143. No.145 is the Freehold Wallpaper Stores (proprietor S.T. Richardson) while no.147 next to this and 151 on the right appear to be unoccupied. No.149 is set back between the two and not visible here.
