Description:
c1938 View of Berking Avenue looking towards York Road, seen on the left. On the corner is no.140 York Road, William W. Cuss, watch repairer. Behind the wall on the right are the premises of Universal Car Exchange, used car dealers, at 142 York Road. These buildings would shortly be demolished. Advertisements can be seen for the Star, the Princess and the Picture House cinemas.
