Image shows part of Cross Hills as it becomes Leeds Road (B6137). The large brick built Methodist Chapel stands at the junction with Well Lane. The building was demolished in 1969. At the left edge Kippax West Riding County Library can be seen at number 13 Cross Hills. Directly opposite the Chapel is the White Swan Public House at number 15 Cross Hills. The Cross Hills area is the centre of Kippax. Road signs point to Great Preston, Allerton Bywater, Aberford and Castleford.
