Description:
C1913. View of Topcliffe Hall, the seat of Sir John Topcliffe, Chief Justice and Master of the Mint in the reigns of Henry VII and VIII. It later became a farmhouse and this photograph can be seen in 'The Story of Morley' by George Wood, published by Pitman in 1916. Photograph from the David Atkinson Archive.

This year [2013] is the 500th anniversary of the death of John Topcliffe. Was he really a knight ? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Topcliffe And I suspect that John Field, proto-Copernican might have lived in the hall from about 1558.
