View of the Patents Information Unit when it was based at the Library Headquarters at 32 York Road. One of only a handful of similar services across the country, it provided a valuable service for companies engaged in product development, with patent specifications giving highly detailed information not found elsewhere. In 2004 the service was transferred to the Central Library where it is now based.
