Description:
1987. View of the Navvy Line, a railway cutting that runs from Neville Hill junction, behind the Bridgefield Hotel, alongside Cautley Road and through the Glencoes, St. Hilda's and Fewstons in Cross Green, before finishing up at Hunslet Goods Yard. One of the road bridges over the line can be seen here, but the iron bridge which carried the paddy train is no longer there.

As a yongster growing up in the area myself & my mates used to climb down to the navvy railway lines. Its all overgrown now so u cant get down

the houses you can see on the right were Cross Green Crescent and this is the view we had from the bottom of our garden, the paddy passed be and the drivers always used to wave to the children,
