Undated. View of Boston Spa County Library located at number 185 High Street in a converted shop property. It moved from here on 5th December 1979 to a former telephone exchange building off the High Street. Prior to re-organisation in 1974 Boston Spa County Library was administered by West Riding County Council.

I recently learned from a lady of 89 who has lived in Boston Spa most of her life that this shop was the Hat shop of Madame Morris before it became the Library.Madame Morris could be often be found asleep at the rear of the Shop and had to be roused by a cough or sharp noise.
