Municipal Buildings, Leeds City Museum, following closure
August 1999. View of the former Leeds City Museum on the first floor of the Municipal Buildings, after it had closed and moved out at the time that the buildings closed for essential work and refurbishment. This floor, once the Police Headquarters, has now become part of the Central Library, housing the Art Library and Music Library as well as exhibition space. The City Museum, which originally occupied premises on Park Row, is due to return to the City Centre in 2008 with the reopening of a new Museum in the former Leeds Institute/Civic Theatre.
