Image shows the interior of the newly built Kippax Branch Library which opened on 15th November 1973. This is the main part of the library on the middle of the three levels. There are shelves of books lining the walls and free standing bookshelves in the centre. To the right several tables and chairs are available for study. In the foreground there is a modern counter containing trays of issue, long before the days when library transactions became computerised. The large floor area is fully carpeted.
