View of St. Mary's Church, one of the three 'Million' or 'Waterloo' Churches to be built in Leeds. The Million Act was brought in at the end of Waterloo to provide a million pounds to fund the building of new churches nationwide. The west tower contains a four - dial clock and a bell. The foundation stone was laid in 1923 and the Church was constructed in the Early English Style to designs by Architect Thomas Taylor.
