I attended the school for about a year 1953-1954, we lived in a caravan in a field behind Chapel Lane, my paternal grandfather owned the second semi-detached house opposite the white house (old Methodist Chapel where I was the last one to be christened), he also owned the field behind the house which ran nearly to the bottom of Selby Road. My father Dennis Johnson and his descendants all came from Swillington Common, he was great friends with Pat Carmichael (nee Wilson) and Alan Wilson (who was his best man) and he lives in Beverley. I remember the lady who lived in a railway carriage, and my father's sisters, Vera and Myra also lived in Swillington Common, all attending the School

I attended this school from 1963-1965. I remember all the Watson family, and the Jacksons, also Pat. Infant teacher was Mrs Holroyd then but I remember Mrs Jordan, I still have a card from her from when I was knocked down by a car at East Garforth, along with Julia Fox, who also lived at Swillington Common.

I was at the school from 1943 to 1950. Happy days. Mrs Chambers, Mrs Jordan and Miss Hutton remembered well. I moved away from the area for 50 years but am now back again a few miles away.
