View from Half Mile Lane showing Broom Mills with a sign reading R. Gaunt & Sons Ltd. Reuben Gaunt took over the woollen mill in 1886. Modern housing in the background is on the Springbank Estate. Since this photograph was taken the site of Broom Mills has been redeveloped for residential use but some of the old stone buildings have been converted.
