Description: 1977.
Described in the book 'When the Streets Were Lit by Gas' by Philip Croft Tordoff as a 'little lane just off the main road at Farnley'. It is thought to be Gamble Lane which leads onto Tong Road and looks in the direction of the Beulah Hotel at the top of Farnley. Further towards the Ring Road in the opposite direction Gamble Lane becomes Wood Lane.
