Description:
c1979. Black & white image showing the interior view of the weaving shed at Broom Mills. Reuben Gaunt, of the nearby Cape Mills and Springfield Mills, acquired Broom Mills in 1886 for the manufacture of woollens. Worsteds continued to be manufactured at Springfield Mills. The sons and grandsons of Reuben Gaunt eventually took over the running of the three mills. Broom Mills is located at Farsley Beck Bottom off Coal Hill Lane.
