Description: Undated. This image from a sketch by Calverley resident, Fred Swaine (1858 - 1942), shows South Lodge. It was built in Calverley Wood in the 1850s as part of a prestigious residential development. There were three other lodges built also. The scheme failed, however, and was never completed.
