View of Stainbeck Lane, looking east towards the junction with Harrogate Road. Shops on the left include Finlay's tobacconist and confectioner, John Gregory and Laws. Behind these is the Chapel Allerton Methodist Church, and in the centre Ward butchers, Thrift Stores and the Midland Bank. Cars are parked on both sides of the road and several people can be seen including two ladies with a dog.
