Description:
Undated. View of Rothwell Grammar School on Longthorpe Lane in Lofthouse. Originally built in 1933 as a grammar school serving Rothwell and the surrounding areas, it later became a comprehensive school and is now known as Rodillian High School.

This week Febuary 2009, Rothwell Grammar school the old building was demolished. Replaced by a modern new school.

Can't believe they knocked my old school down. Impressive main library room! The stairs up to the science labs (All along the upper level of this photo) were very period. Won't have changed from 1933 to 1992 when I was there! Science teachers included Mr Gentle, Mr Needham and Mr Day. Excellent teachers!
