Les Billingham

I trained/worked as a Draughtsman at this factory from 1962 to 1969. It was Joseph Booth & Bros, then Clyde Crane & Booth, followed by Clarke Chapman and Wellman Booth but by 1998 I think it had been sold-on again. During my days the single storey area nearest the camera was the Sub-Assembly area. The lower bit of the two storeys was the Quality Control section and the upper storey was the Electrical workshop. The high gables behind this was the main crane Fitting Shop.
