Description:
6th August 1999. View showing Kirkham Street looking down towards Town Street, where the Union Crane Works can be seen in the process of demolition. This was the former premises of Joseph Booth & Brothers Ltd., a business which began back in 1847. On the left are houses numbered 26 to 16 Kirkham Street and on the right numbers 23 to 1. Cars are parked on the road.
