2nd April 2001. View of the offices of Wellman Booth Ltd. on Rodley Town Street. Wellman Booth, owners of the recently demolished Union Crane Works across the road, emerged from the business of Joseph Booth and Brothers Ltd., crane manufacturers and designers, which was founded in 1847 and also once known as Clyde Booth. Wellman Booth are now part of the Clarke Chapman Group and are still producing cranes, though the business has been transferred to a site at the Kirkfield Industrial Centre in Yeadon.
