c1955. View of Otley Road looking south-east. Shops on the left include Bruntons confectioners, Ernest Wilson & Son, The Chocolate Box, DER and Eddy's. A zebra crossing can be seen in the foreground and a bus shelter on the right.

The chapel seen on the right was demolished when Morrison's supermarket was built in the 1980s,the plot of land on which the chapel stood was grassed over and seating sited there to provide a rest area.
