This image was taken between 1880 and 1890 by John Lees Sykes, a printer from Manchester. It is entitled 'Mr. & Mrs. Jones & Friend, Leeds' and shows a family seated outside a large victorian house. The census of 1891 lists William Hy Jones (aged 43 - a Commercial Traveller from Manchester), his wife, Elizabeth (aged 35,) their niece (aged 9), a Governess and a Domestic Servant, all residing at this address. Nowadays, this substantial property has been converted to flats. It is located at the corner with Kensington Terrace and Hyde Park Road.
