View of a cottage off Low Lane once known as Pear Tree Cottage and later Brookfoot House, probably taken in the early 20th century judging by the clothing of the child by the door. It was occupied at the time by the Sherwood family. Originally built in the 17th century and remodelled in the 18th, it is now a Grade II listed building and still in existance (2008) though the pear tree is long gone and in 1987 the building was converted into offices.
