Description:
Undated. View of the Nookin on Leeds Road, on old Tudor-style house featuring a beam inscribed with the date 1611; this is believed to be a date of restoration, with the original date of the building possibly going back a century earlier. It is now a listed building. Taken around the late 19th century with two women wearing clothing from that period standing in the garden.

I WAS BORN AT NO 4 THE NOOKIN ON 8.6.1944.MY GRANDMA WAS ONE OF THE LAST TENANTS OF THE HOUSE WHITCH WAS THEN OWNED BY ROTHWELL COUNCIL.
