c1930s. View of a parade of shops on Throstle Lane, numbered (from left) 93 to 103, and including Allsop's general dealers, Herbert Knapton, confectioner, and Harry Clayton, newsagent and Post Office. The crosses on the photo indicate breaches of Planning dept regulations for the placing of advertising signs. Taken around the late 1930s.

There were Knapton's Bakeries in Beeston and Holbeck, during W.W.2 and the Post-War years and beyond. Was there a family connection with this Middleton outlet show here? See also picture number2003512_29989260.
