We used to call these the "Bottom shops",To the left was Marsdens fish and chip shop, then Armitages confectionary etc.,Samwells Butchers and Joe Eddison, general grocers and (back shop bookies) illegal. To the right about 100 yards!!was a clearing which led to the old "Hen Run" down to the railway, the bottom woods, the allotments,Ardlsey cricket pitch,Goldies farm, the newt pond, and the Morley tunnel,to name a few sites. To the left of the shops (corner house just seen)the Ashmans lived there I think Anyone remember these give me a call so we can reminisce once again,Ali Stubbs
