Description: c1930s.
View of York Road Baptist Church, situated on the north side of York Road between Ainsty Road (seen here on the right) and Halton Place. Designed by W.H. Harris of Leeds, its foundation stone was laid on 10th July 1872. The Church was demolished in the 1950s to make way for new housing development on the Ebor Gardens estate; a new church would be built on Haslewood Drive on this estate.
