Sikh Ladies
October 1986. Image shows members of the newly formed Sikh Ladies' Group at the new Sikh Centre at number 10 Brandon Way. The group met on Tuesday and Friday nights between 7.00pm and 9.00pm. The evenings began with a fun and energetic 'keep fit' session. There was a choice of activities to follow, including sewing and dressmaking, badminton and, as seen here, harmonium lessons and singing with teacher, Mrs. Bhuller. Up to 80 women and young girls had enrolled in the Sikh Ladies' Group.
