Image shows scaffolding in place on Grange View, a row of brick built terraced homes. It was taken at the commencement of the Granges Enveloping Programme which, after, a long delay, had been recently approved by the Department of the Environment in London. Repair and renovations to the properties were to include roofing, guttering, chimneys, fall pipes, doors and windows, repointing and rebuilding of external boundary walls. A second and third phase were also planned for nearby streets, part of the Granges Housing Action Area.
