Description:
December 1988.
Image shows red brick terraced housing, part of the Granges 'Enveloping' scheme. It involved the external repair and renovation of homes in the area including re-roofing and new windows. At this time the third phase of the enveloping scheme was planned to take place in early 1989. This was to refurbish Grange Avenue (numbers 27-57 and 32-62), Grange View (numbers 32-60), Hamilton Avenue (numbers 1-29 and 2-30), Harehills Avenue (numbers 4-54), and Cowper Street (numbers 28-52 and 27-53).
