View of the old stone bridge which crosses Wyke Beck and is part of the original route of Foundry Lane before it was altered in the 1930s. The bridge is of historic interest as it once carried farm vehicles which would then have turned off down an old sunken lane to Killingbeck Farm. The sunken lane is thought to date back to at least the medieval period. This view looks in the direction of the lynchets, which are also evidence of a long history of farming in the area. They are banks of earth, built up over time with sustained ploughing of the slope. Image courtesy of John Garnett.
