Description:
6th March 1936. View of York Road showing (from right) nos.246-262, part of a block known as Carlton Terrace. On the left is the junction with Ivy Street; a notice points in this direction for a bypass road to Hunslet, Wakefield and Doncaster. On the corner are empty premises soob to be opened as a branch of Herbert Brown & Son Ltd., pawnbrokers and jewellers, at nos.260-262. Tramlines are seen on the road.
